Fullstory

Director, Communications & Analyst Relations

Venture-backed behavioral data and analytics · $100M+ ARR · 400+ employees

Featured project · Corporate communications & M&A

Building the company narrative, then telling the story of a first acquisition

Built Fullstory’s corporate communications from the ground up, with a regular cadence for reporting company momentum, customer growth, product adoption, and strategic progress. That repeatable way to tell the company story, beyond product launches, became the foundation for bigger milestones, including Fullstory’s first-ever acquisition.

Result: a corporate storytelling engine that carried the company from its first momentum release in 2024 to announcing 100%+ year-over-year multi-product ARR growth in 2026, plus editorial coverage of the Usetiful acquisition.

Featured project · Category & product positioning

From session replay to a multi-product behavioral data company

Helped reposition Fullstory beyond its legacy perception as a session replay tool, around behavioral data and, ultimately, AI-ready behavioral intelligence. Led communications as Fullstory grew from a flagship product into a multi-product company, so each launch added to one cohesive company story.

Result: launches that opened Fullstory to data teams, AI use cases, and the digital employee experience category, plus a narrative customers adopted as a platform rather than a point solution.

Featured project · Research & earned media

Turning Fullstory’s data into news

Built research-driven storytelling programs that turned Fullstory’s behavioral data and consumer research into timely media stories, creating news even when there was no corporate announcement, and connecting the technology to broader business, consumer, and industry trends.

Coverage: Fortune, Forbes, Fast Company, CIO, and key trade and new-media outlets.

Featured project · Executive visibility

A distinct platform for each executive

Executive visibility across the leadership team, including the CEO, President, CFO, and CPTO, through media interviews, contributed content, bylines, LinkedIn thought leadership, research commentary, speaking programs, and corporate milestones. Co-founder and CEO Scott Voigt was the face of Fullstory, carrying the company’s growth strategy and its evolution to a platform from Nasdaq to CIO, President Jason Wolf became the voice of Fullstory’s consumer research in Fortune, CFO Chad Gold introduced his growth strategy to finance leaders in CFO Brew, and Claire Fang spoke for Fullstory’s product and technology strategy, from the Usetiful acquisition to customer results in Newsweek.

Function building

Communications and analyst relations, built from zero

Joined the marketing leadership team to build both functions, from PR agency selection and onboarding to executive media training and reporting infrastructure.

Analyst relations

A first-ever major analyst evaluation

Rebuilt the Gartner and Forrester program from the ground up and secured Fullstory’s first-ever participation in a major analyst evaluation.

Crisis & issues

Customer trust through a privacy incident

Owned communications for four customer cohorts, each with different impacts, actions, and technical depth, so engineering could stay focused on the fix.

Result: clear customer messaging and very few escalations to support or engineering.

Executive events

A four-city customer and prospect series

Briefings, role plays, and dry runs for every speaker in Dallas, Austin, Boston, and San Francisco, plus seating that put key prospects beside their account executives.

Corporate & internal

Announcements, M&A, and the annual company meeting

Corporate and internal communications for announcements, M&A, kickoffs, and all-hands, including ownership of the President’s keynote and go-to-market department day at the annual company meeting.

AI-enabled communications

AI workflows, and earned media built for AI search

Built AI workflows and skills for media monitoring, executive prep, reporting, drafting, and message testing, and shaped earned media strategy for AI and LLM search (AEO/GEO).

Result: 10+ hours saved every week.

Velocity Global

Director, Global Brand & Corporate Marketing

Venture-backed global employment and HR tech, now Pebl · $100M+ ARR · ~500 employees

Featured project · Brand

Rebranding a category pioneer in seven months

Velocity Global had pioneered its category, but new competitors, an inconsistent identity, and two earlier rebrand attempts were holding the brand back just as the company needed to move upmarket. Partnered with our VP of Brand Experience, 20+ cross-functional teams, and five agencies, including Red Antler, to roll out the new brand across internal and external channels.

The rebrand: a new strategy and identity, a 1,500+ page website, thousands of rebranded assets, and a full-funnel launch campaign, delivered in seven months on time and on budget.

Featured project · Sponsorship & thought leadership

Owning the future-of-work conversation at SXSW 2023

Directed Velocity Global’s SXSW sponsorship and thought leadership program: the only sponsorship of the festival’s new Workplace Revolution track; a standing-room-only panel alongside the Grammys, Great Place to Work, and Upwork; and the Velocity Global Oasis lounge, backed by pedicab and conference branding, a microsite, and a social campaign.

The activation: lounge traffic at double the projected level, a 20% spike in organic website traffic, coverage in Forbes and CNBC, and SXSW’s own “Best Lounge Experience.”

NPR, The New York Times, Fortune, TechCrunch, and SXSW

Directed sponsorship and thought leadership programs with major media and event partners.

Nasdaq-listed cybersecurity · $700M+ ARR · 2,500+ employees

Featured project · Executive visibility

Putting CEO Corey Thomas in front of business audiences

Business-media visibility for Rapid7’s CEO beyond the security trade press, from long-form interviews on leadership and privacy to national broadcast segments built on Rapid7’s own research.

Featured project · Original research

Turning original research into tier-one news

When Rapid7 researchers showed that a small plane’s onboard network could be fed false altitude, speed, and orientation readings, we gave the story to the Associated Press as an exclusive. The Department of Homeland Security issued an alert citing the research the same day, and coverage spread nationally. The same research-first approach put Rapid7’s audit of Fortune 500 security in Axios.

Featured project · Analyst relations

Every business line to a Leader position

Built Rapid7’s industry analyst relations function and entered every business line into major evaluations with Gartner, Forrester, and IDC, then turned each result into a public proof point for sales and customers.

Result: Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, and IDC MarketScapes, including back-to-back Leader positions in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for SIEM.

Featured project · Corporate, issues & policy

Acquisitions, incidents, and policy, each with a clear public voice
